Smart Horizons Career Online Education is fully accredited as an online school district by the AdvancED Accreditation Commission, the national commission that confers the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) accreditation seal. This means that the SHCOE district and all of its schools are accredited, and that Smart Horizons Career Online Education is recognized across the nation as a quality school system. Smart Horizons Career Online Education is the world’s first private online school district that delivers affordable, career-based online education to students throughout the world. Students receive both an accredited, career-based online high school diploma and a career (credentialed) certificate in the fields of healthcare, early childhood education, transportation services, homeland security, protection services, and office management. The district’s first school, Smart Horizons Career Online High School, was launched in May 2010. AdvancED is the unified organization of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
