Student Enrollment Numbers Continue Increasing as Program Gains National Recognition

Smart Horizons Career Online Education today released their most recent enrollment numbers, showing an increase of 37.2% above last year. The steady growth is attributed to new and expanded partnerships across the country, as well as the launch of career certificates in the growing health care and hospitality sectors.

In just the past year, organizations such as Checkers and Rally’s Restaurants, Edmentum, EdOptions Academy, Hopdoddy Burger Bar, several Goodwill branches, and Kent District Library have launched the program for their employees and/or local residents/constituents. Meanwhile, momentum is growing with existing partnerships such as Los Angeles Public Library, which recently celebrated their 337th graduate, and McDonald’s, which has seen 750+ graduates to date.

“We are thrilled about the expansion of our accredited online high school plus career certificate program, and to be helping make an impact on the national high school dropout crisis,” said Dr. Howard Liebman, District Superintendent. “Through our diverse array of partnerships we have seen great results reaching adults and older youth who thrive in an alternative educational setting.”
